Pigmenta specializes in manual permanent cosmetics that far exceed the permanent make up of old.  Julia Bowers, President and founder of Pigmenta, uses her highly evolved and unique Hand Method Application to ensure the most natural looking results. Her talents include scar revision, areola color post surgery, eyebrows, eyeliner and lips. The Hand Held is the most precise and gentlest way to implant permanent make up into the skin. By using small hairline strokes, we can mimic the individual hairs for eyebrows, create a thicker lash line and give the lips an enhanced look. The procedure is customized to each client. Pigmenta’s results are very natural.

Pigmenta uses hypoallergenic ion-oxide based pigments in a variety of shades to guarantee the perfect custom color. Unlike machine methods, the superficial application deposits the pigment no deeper than the layer of skin that rejuvenates itself, preventing allergic reaction. Safety and sanitation is a top priority and all regulations are strictly adhered to.

Clients get a boost every 12-18 months to keep their color looking optimum.

Does the procedure hurt?
Topical anesthetics are used to minimize discomfort.  Although you can feel the procedure happening, most clients feel very little, if any, pain.

Can I choose my color and placement?
Absolutely!  Each procedure is customized specifically to each client.  There is a wide spectrum of colors you can choose from. 

How long does it take? 
Each session takes no longer than an hour from start to finish.

Is it safe?
Safety and Sanitation are top priorities for Pigmenta.  All tools are sterile and disposable.  All regulations are strictly adhered to.  The superficial application prevents the body’s reaction to and rejection of the pigment.

What is the recovery time?
There may be some slight swelling and redness in the area immediately following the procedure, which will subside in 5-10 days.  The color tends to appear darker and more intense at first but will mature to its final softer color within a week.  Normal activities can be resumed right away.  Home care instructions are discussed in detail at the time of the procedure.

How long does it last?
Permanent cosmetics do not rub or wash off.  Pigmenta’s applications are applied only to the upper layer soft the skin and last 1-3 years.  As your skin rejuvenates, the pigment will fade over time.  A touch up may be needed every 12-18 months to maintain color.
