Does Fraxel treatment hurt?
Topical anesthesia is applied before the procedure and cold air from a Zimmer device is used on the area being treated to minimize discomfort. After the treatment, most patients report a feeling similar to a sunburn, which disappears in one to two hours.
What side effects can I expect after a Fraxel ® Restore Laser treatment?
You will have some degree of redness and swelling after treatment. The intensity and duration depends on how aggressive the treatment was and your healing characteristics. Other temporary side effects may include minor itching, dry skin, peeling or flaking of skin, and a bronzed appearance. You will be given specific instructions as to how to minimize side effects. Total downtime is two to five days.

The pricing for Fraxel varies depending on the area treated. The full face price is $750 per treatment, however we charge according to treated area. If we are treating cheeks for acne scars, the pricing is prorated accordingly.
How does Fraxel® Restore Laser treatment compare to Thermage?
Thermage heats skin deep in the dermis for tightening of the skin. Fraxel® Restore heats the epidermis of the skin more superficially, thus improving texture of the skin.
